  2. Select Program Type: Login and choose the type of program planning to take. Please make your choice carefully.

  3. Completing Information: Fill in all blanks in columns of personal information, contact information & program options and upload the required documents like passport, photos & certificates.

  4. Submitting Application and Pay Registration Fee: You can submit your application and pay registration fee after the above steps. The system will tell which step needed to be completed if it fails.

  5. Application Status: Application is completed after the above steps. You can see the status of your application and the progress of OEC admission in the column of application status.

  6. Qualification Check: A qualification check will be performed as soon as your application is received. We will notify you of the qualification check result by online system prompt or email.

  7. Admissions Documents: Once you pass the qualification check, we will start preparing the Admission Notice and the Visa Application for Study in China (JW202) for you. Generally speaking, it takes 30-45 days to receive the documents after your application is approved. You can always follow up the admission progress in the “application status” tab of the online application system.

  8. Visa Application: Please bring your passport, photos, the Admission Notice, the Visa Application for Study in China (JW202) and other materials required by the local Chinese embassy to apply for a Student Visa (X visa) at such embassy. If a physical examination is required by the local Chinese embassy, you can download The Physical Examination Record of Foreigner from OEC website (http:/file/Health.doc) before having a physical examination in a local qualified hospital. Make sure to bring all original physical examination reports to XMU for possible visa extension.

  9. Pay Tuition: New students shall remit the tuition fee into one of XMU’s bank accounts within one week after obtaining their X visa. Once remittance is completed, students should record the remittance in “Bank Receipt” of the application system and upload the scanned copy of the bank transfer receipt.

  10. Arrival and Registration: Please bring your passport, Admission Notice, Visa Application for Study in China (JW202), original physical examination record (if available), graduation certificate, transcripts & notarized copy in English or Chinese, HSK certificate (if there is) and 10 two-inch photos to OEC (Xiang’an Campus of XMU) for registration on the date stipulated in the Admission Notice. To avoid any inconvenience caused by visa expiring, please don’t make entry too early, and make sure you come to OEC as soon as you are in China.
Note: If you intend to apply but the deadline has passed, please contact us through email, phone or WeChat, we will make suggestions accordingly.

Language problem: There are over 100 zero-Chinese-level new students studying Chinese in OEC every semester. Although Chinese is the main class language, many teachers of our college also speak English. OEC staff will help you to go through necessary procedures. If you don’t speak English or Chinese, please ask other students to interpret for you.
